"The sorrow that doesn't speak gnaws at the heart until it breaks."
-William Shakespeare- English poet 1564-1616
ATEK eV offers several options for support.
I would like to introduce these below.
CONCERN LINE FOR FAMILY AND RELATIVES
The PTSD of our loved ones sometimes presents us with great challenges and sometimes becomes an emotional emergency.
For these situations, the helpline is available for immediate contact. However, the number can also be called at any time if the need arises. Through our diverse contacts, we can also refer veterans and/or emergency personnel, for example, to the trained case managers of our friends at the Green Devils Military Brotherhood!
Helpline for children, young people and parents
Children and adolescents with PTSD in parents, siblings, etc., experience everyday life differently than adults, and parents also need support in dealing with the sometimes stressful family situation caused by PTSD. Children, adolescents, and parents can contact Lena Sparwald via the helpline or WhatsApp and share their worries and concerns. She is available to us on a volunteer basis as a qualified social worker/social educator.
As the daughter of a combat veteran suffering from PTSD, she is aware of the problems and stresses faced by children and young people.
INDIVIDUAL CONVERSATIONS
Sometimes it's easier to talk face-to-face. If you're not yet comfortable speaking in a group setting, you can schedule a one-on-one online appointment with me. There, we can discuss whatever's bothering you in a safe, informal setting. If you need longer-term, more in-depth support, our psychologists are available to provide counseling on a voluntary basis. You can register anytime using the contact form. I'll get back to you promptly within 24 hours.
ONLINE SUPPORT GROUP FOR FAMILIES OF TRAUMATIZED VETERANS AND OPERATION SERVICE PERSONNEL
Simply listen and benefit from the experiences of others, or vent your anger. Both are possible in my online support group. We meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 PM and exchange ideas about everyday life with our traumatized loved ones. It's informal and safe. Join us and sign up!
ONLINE SUPPORT GROUP FOR TRAUMATIZED VETERANS AND EMERGENCY SERVICE PERSONNEL
Led by my husband Martin Thamm (PEER), the first online support group for traumatized emergency personnel is taking place. A peer-to-peer exchange
No one fights alone!
